Delighted to see the first review of A Virtual Love today, on book blog The Innocent Flower. Here’s a snippet:
A Virtual Love is an engaging, brilliant story capturing the almost impenetrable emotions and issues cropping up in a fairly new digital age. Blackman has made me take a long, hard look at myself and how I choose to portray myself not only online, but everywhere else too.

It’s strange to know that people are reading the book already, since I haven’t even got my hands on a copy yet. My publisher has sent out advance review copies to newspapers, book bloggers, etc., and then does a final printing of the thousands of copies that will go to bookshops, and I get twelve of those as complimentary copies. Looking forward to that!
By the way, if you’re a reviewer and would like a review copy, I believe there are still some available. Email me if you want one.

Your publisher won’t forget me, will s/he? I am longing to read this! Wonderful first review – here’s to many more just like it.
Hi litlove,
I thought you’d have your copy by now – I gave them your details at the same time as Michelle’s, who wrote this review. I’ll email and make sure it’s on its way to you now.
Thank you again for letting me read your book in advance! I’ll be buying a hard copy as soon as they are available. I want it to sit right next to On the Holloway Road on my shelf. π
Thanks Michelle. I loved your review, and it meant a lot to me that you took the time to read and review it even at a busy and difficult time for you.
That’s great about the hard copy – thank you!! Hope I can sign it for you one day, if you’re in London or I’m in Utah!
Sounds like it is awesome Andrew!
Thanks Brian!!
Nice review, Andrew! I loved what the reviewer at ‘The Innocent Flower’ said. Your comment that it is strange that readers are reading the book already but you haven’t got your copy yet made me smile π I can’t wait to read the book!
Thanks Vishy! Yes, it was a bit strange. I have my copies now, and am busy rehearsing for the launch on Wednesday and deciding which section to read. Things move along quite quickly at this stage!
