Privacy Policy for andrewblackman.net

I looked around at standard templates, but decided on this plain English policy instead. It’s short, but the idea is to tell you what you need to know in plain English rather than legalese. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email at info@andrewblackman.net.

I don’t give away, sell or share your email address with anyone. I ask you to enter it when leaving comments simply to avoid receiving too much spam and nasty anonymous comments. Mostly I never even look at your email address, and will not use it to email you without your consent. Once or twice I have emailed someone to respond to a particular issue they raised, but that’s a very rare occurrence and those were one-off emails. I never add you to any email list without your consent.

When you sign up for my newsletter, you agree to receive a monthly email from me, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. The newsletter is handled by MailPoet, and as one of the most respected and widely-used email service providers, they can be trusted to keep your email address safe. I do not use your email address for any other purpose than to send you the newsletter. I may very occasionally send another email to the list with big news, but I will not abuse this. Again, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Some of the Amazon links on the site are affiliate links. This means that if you click on the links and buy books or products, I may make commissions. Rest assured that this does not affect the content of my blog in any way. I write what I believe, and will never talk up something just to make a commission. Mostly the commissions are pretty tiny anyway. If you have any questions about this, please email me at info@andrewblackman.net

Finally, I use the Jetpack WordPress plugin to count how many visitors I get and provide information on popular pages. I believe this service uses cookies. If you want to disable cookies, you can do so through your individual browser options.
