Holiday reading

I had a very relaxing holiday, and had time for lots of reading:

Also read, but not pictured, were:

  • Global Shift by Edmund J. Bourne
  • Commonwealth Short Stories edited by Anna Rutherford and Donald Hannah
  • West Indian Folk Tales retold by Philip M Sherlock

Reviews to follow – I have a bit of a backlog to take care of!

  1. Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your comment on my word press blog. I hope my amateur rantings were of some interest to you.

Glad to see a fellow writers do a lot of reading too. I just finished a series I began a few days after christmas. 5 books in 3-4 weeks. All very good though despite coming from the 9-12 section hehehe.

I’m very interested in the book on the BBC National Short Story awards – wasn’t aware there was one at all.

Look forward to reading the review on it.

My your creative spark to continue to burn bright my writing friend 🙂

  2. Hello Andrew
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading all three chapters of Daisychains of Silence and especially for leaving such thoughtful and encouraging comments.
Congratulations on your recent success with On the Holloway Road and Legend Press. I look forward to reading your book very soon and will add a link to your site if that’s okay with you.
Many thanks again for your encouragement and good luck wishes. I submitted to Legend Press a while back and am waiting to hear, so it’s especially lovely to hear from you.
    All the best,
    Diana.

  3. Thanks everyone for the comments, and look forward to catching up with you more now that I’m back.

Diana, good luck with your submission. I’ve had a really good experience with Legend Press, so hope it works out for you. From reading your extract, it certainly seems like the type of book they might be interested in, although of course with the volume of submissions etc etc there’s no guarantee. Let me know when you hear back.
